Overview
The Secondary Internal Benchmark gives managers richer, more meaningful context when reviewing their team's engagement results. Alongside the existing company-wide average, managers can now view a second benchmark based on a more relevant internal group - such as their Department, Region, Business Unit, or Leadership Group.
This means managers are no longer limited to a single company average. Instead, they can compare their team's results against a group that better reflects their actual working context, making it easier to spot trends, identify areas for improvement, and celebrate wins.
Roles/Permissions
- Seer Admins - can enable and configure the secondary benchmark
- Managers — can view the secondary benchmark alongside existing scores in their dashboards
What Managers Will See
Once configured, Manager Dashboards will display three comparison points:
Comparison | Description |
Team Score | The manager's own team result |
Company Score | The organisation-wide average |
Secondary Benchmark Score | The average for the selected internal group (e.g. "Department Avg") |
The secondary benchmark label updates dynamically to reflect whichever group type the admin has selected.
The secondary benchmark appears across the following areas of the Manager Dashboard:
- Dashboard comparison cards
- Graphs
- Tables
- Driver tabs
- Values tabs
- Custom Pillar tabs
