We're excited to announce the next wave of enhancements coming to Seer, Workvivo's Employee Listening platform! This release focuses on giving you external context for your results, smarter analytics, more powerful reporting, and tighter control over access and data - so you can understand, act on, and share employee feedback with greater confidence.
There is one key change that is important to take note of before detailing the upcoming enhancements:
Seer access is being removed from the default Admin role. Going forward, organisations must explicitly assign a dedicated Seer role to control who can view org-wide employee insights. The roles have also been renamed:
- "Employee Insights Administrator" → SEER Insights Administrator
- "Employee Insights Manager" → SEER Insights Manager
These roles are not auto-assigned to existing Admins. Admins without the Seer role will see an access-removed empty state on both Web and Mobile. This move is to protect sensitive people-analytics data being automatically visible to every Admin.
What's Coming Soon
1. External Benchmarks
You'll be able to compare your Engagement score, all 12 Engagement Drivers, and individual question scores against scientifically-grounded external benchmarks. Benchmark cuts are available at Global, Country (top 20 GDP countries), and Industry (15 sectors) level - each with Best-in-Class splits (Average, Top 25%, Top 10%, Top 5%).
Why It Matters
Results are no longer read in isolation. External benchmarks give you the context to identify what is genuinely strong, average, or in need of attention - and add credibility to the insights you share with leadership.
2. Driver Impact Analysis
Strengths and Focus Areas will no longer be ranked by score alone. Seer will use Pearson correlation to calculate the statistical relationship between each engagement driver question and overall engagement - surfacing the drivers most likely to move the needle when acted upon.
Why It Matters
Action planning becomes more accurate and scientifically grounded. Instead of focusing on the lowest scores, you'll focus on the areas that actually influence engagement — preventing wasted effort and driving real improvement.
3. Sentiment Filtering
The coloured sentiment breakdown bar on the Employee Insights Comments Tab is becoming interactive. Click a segment - Positive, Neutral, Negative, or Mixed - and the comments below instantly filter to that sentiment. Click again to clear. The sentiment filter stacks with existing filters (round, segment, driver, goal, NPS/Likert category, starred), and the bar recalculates dynamically for any filtered cohort.
Why It Matters
The most visually prominent element on the Comments Tab is now actionable. You get a one-click path from "what is the mood?" to "show me exactly those comments" - making sentiment analysis a hands-on exploration tool rather than a static score.
4. Manager-Level Executive Report (PowerPoint)
The Manager Insights Executive Summary PowerPoint has been redesigned from the ground up. It's no longer a copy of the global company deck - it's a report built for managers, ready to present unedited in a team meeting or share upward to leadership. Key improvements include: Team vs company comparison, employee sentiment slide, trend indicators , manager-facing language and recommended actions .
Why It Matters
Managers get a tangible, self-serve deliverable they can generate and download directly from Manager Insights. Context, sentiment, and trends are baked in - so they can tell what's strong, what's changed, and what to act on, without needing admin support.
5. Enhanced Data Exports
A new Full Confidential Data Export gives Seer Admins access to a richer CSV export containing User ID, all segment/taxonomy fields, Manager ID, and every question response including comments. This eliminates the need for hours of manual Excel filtering to analyse results across multiple segments.
Why It Matters
Customers with a genuine need for raw data can now analyse survey responses with full metadata context outside Workvivo - while clearer confidentiality language ensures employees understand how their responses are handled.
What do I need to do?
Seer Access Roles (action required): Navigate to Settings → Roles & Permissions and assign the SEER Insights Administrator or SEER Insights Manager role to any Admin who needs continued access to Seer dashboards.
Everything else: No preparation required. The remaining enhancements will be available automatically following rollout. If you have questions or feedback, reach out to your Customer Success Team.
