Enabling AI
Enabling AI is a simple two step process.
Firstly, Workvivo AI needs to be enabled for your Workvivo instance in order to use it. Please reach out to your Workvivo point-of-contact to action this.
Secondly, access to Workvivo AI features requires customer acknowledgement of Workvivo AI Explainer document and toggling AI "on" within the environment. The steps to follow are listed below and the screenshots that follow provide an illustration.

- Search for ‘AI Admin Settings’
- Review ‘Workvivo AI Explainer’ document through ‘Learn More’ link
- Once reviewed, toggle on ‘Workvivo AI for your Organization’

Enabling AI doesn't mean that every AI capability is accessible to everyone. Workvivo AI is a modular set of embedded capabilities and as illustrated in the screenshot above, each capability has it's own admin controls ensuring that, admins may be able to control whether the capability is enabled at all, which groups (or roles) can access it and certain elements of how the feature may be used.
The individual Help Center article for each AI feature then describes the devices relevant (e.g. Desktop/Mobile), Roles/Permissions required and further explains each capability admin setting.
Workvivo AI Feature Summaries
The following section provides a summary of Workvivo AI features and the articles associated with each feature provide the full feature detail.
AI Assistant
Allows users to get assistance from Workvivo AI based on the Workvivo data that they have given it permission to access. Designed to enhance your Workvivo experience and provide quick, accurate answers to your questions. Workvivo AI Assistant has full access to the Workvivo Help Center, allowing it to provide comprehensive support on platform features and functionalities.
Custom Article Access - Workvivo AI can access and utilize information from articles created within Workvivo that have specifically been granted AI access permissions.
Custom Page Access - Workvivo AI can access and utilize information from pages created within Workvivo that have specifically been granted AI access permissions.
Compose
Allows users to generate content with controls to help refine the tone, length, or choose to include company values when posting updates on the Workvivo platform. Suggested text can be stored in the user's clipboard, enabling users to paste it into any Articles, Updates, Events, or Pages within the Workvivo platform.
AI Compose
AI-powered writing assistant built into Workvivo posting modal that helps users generate content for updates, shout-outs, and value posts. Users can enter a custom prompt or choose from ready-made prompt options.
Compose AI Writing Profile
Voice Profiles are customizable writing style configurations that admins can create to shape how AI Compose generates content. Each profile defines a base style, tone, writing preferences, and category styles, with the option to add custom instructions for further refining. Profiles can be built manually or generated automatically by uploading a PDF, where AI extracts the tone and style from the document. Once created, a profile can be set as the default or selected on demand when generating content.
Surveys
Allow users to generate Surveys quickly with simple prompts.
Ask
Allow users to get assistance from Workvivo AI based on the Workvivo data (e.g. News Articles and Pages) that they have given it permission to access.
AI in SEER
Allow users to analyze survey comments with Workvivo AI, which automatically detects key topics and summaries based on the feedback data provided by respondents.
Journeys AI Builder
This feature enables admins to create user journeys through an AI prompt. The admin describes the desired journey (for example, an onboarding flow) and an output is generated.
Journeys AI Message Compose
Allow users to generate content and Journeys messages with controls to help refine the tone and length, or choose to include company values when posting updates on the Workvivo platform.
Livestream - Smart Chapters
AI‑powered Smart Chapters is a feature in Workvivo livestreams that automatically divides a recorded stream into meaningful, time‑stamped sections. Each chapter represents a key topic or segment of the broadcast, allowing viewers to navigate, search, and rewatch specific moments easily.
Summary post livestream
Livestream Summary is an AI-generated textual recap that's automatically produced after each livestream ends. It uses the stream's transcript to create a short, human readable overview of the key topics and outcomes so viewers can grasp the main points without watching the full recording. It complements Smart Chapters (which segment the video into navigable sections) by providing a single narrative synopsis of the entire stream.
Chat Summary (Unread messages)
Allows users to analyze unread messages from Workvivo Chat with Workvivo AI, which automatically detects key topics and summaries based on the messages sent by others in the channels.
Chat Summary and Thread (Channel)
Allow susers to analyze a set of messages from a Workvivo Chat channel with Workvivo AI for a configured timeframe (eg 24 hours), which automatically detects key topics and summaries based on the messages sent by others in the channels.
Compose AI - In Chat
Allows users to generate content with controls to help refine the tone and length when creating a message in Workvivo Chat.
Chat - Quick Reply Prompts
Prompts the user with quick responses based on the messages previously sent in the channel.
AI Insights in Analytics
Allows AI to generate a summary of an organization's key metrics across activation, active use, content creation and content engagement data. Highlights overall trends, provides awareness of changes in core metrics, and provides highlights of content engagement over the past 90 days.
AI Insights in SEER
AI capabilities are embedded across SEER including AI-powered comment analysis for themes, risks and recommendations, an AI Companion that does sentiment analysis, automated theme detection and an AI-powered survey builder. AI is also used across dashboards and insights to help turn survey data into clear, actionable steps.
Note: The SEER add-on is required for SEER features and the Chat add-on is required to access Chat features.

Workvivo AI is powered by and integrated with Zoom's AI technology. Workvivo does not use customer content to train our models or third-party models used in our features. Workvivo does not use any customer content to train Zoom’s or its third-party AI models.
We evaluate and update our models periodically and those used to support Workvivo AI may change from time to time. For features in Workvivo AI that use third-party AI model providers, we will share relevant data with those third-parties when you use the feature.
The third-party model provider is not permitted to retain the content used or generated by the feature, unless required by applicable law.
