Device(s): Desktop, Mobile (to view and/or submit a Survey)
Roles / Permissions:
- Survey Admin: Can create, manage and view analytics on all surveys and forms across the organization.
- System Admin: Can create, manage and view analytics on all surveys and forms across the organization.
- Survey Manager: Can only manage and view analytics on surveys and forms they have created themselves.
Note: Reporting and analytics can only be viewed on desktop.
In Surveys & Forms, reporting and analytics are divided into two main areas — the Overview tab, and the Submissions tab. You can also export the responses using the Export button in the top-right corner of the page; this can be useful for offline analysis and sharing. The exported report features a Summary page and User Question Summary page.
Overview
This tab is broken into three main sections: Overview, Engagement, and Questions and Responses. The Segment filter above these sections can be used to update the analytics to display information from the selected segment only.
Overview: This section shows high-level information like start and end date, audience size and total number of questions.
Engagement: This section shows key participation information such as responses plotted versus time, response rate, and completion rate.
- Response Rate: The percentage of users in your target audience who responded. They must respond to at least one question to be counted towards response rate.
- Completion Rate: The percentage of users who completed and submitted the entire survey or form.
Questions and Responses: This section provides a detailed breakdown of analytics per question. The responses are displayed in a format that best suits the question type used, and offer the most effective analysis for easy review.
Click Show X Responses to open a more detailed modal view of the responses for that questions. If Allow Multiple Submission has been enabled, the responses can be sorted by both Submission and User.
Sentiment Analysis
Additionally, you can easily analyze sentiment in free-text responses to gain deeper insights into employee responses and feedback. You can view an Overall Sentiment score, understand Sentiment Breakdown by category (Positive, Neutral, Negative, Mixed), and also filter responses by sentiment.

Submissions
The submissions table provides a high-level view of all responses for a survey or form. Admins can search, filter, and review submissions with key details like, name, date, and status. Admins can mark a survey or form as processed to help them manage their workflow. By default, the table is sorted by the submission date of responses from newest to oldest.
Note: If the form or survey is anonymous, the Submissions table will not be available. Filters applied to the Submissions table are not reflected in the exported report.
- ID: Incremental ID assigned to each submission. Useful for chronology of submissions and for separating multiple submissions from the same user. This is not searchable or filterable.
- Submitter: Name of the user who submitted the form. Use the Search field at the top of the page to search the list of submitters.
-
Submitted: Displays the date and time the response was submitted. This can be sorted by Newest and Oldest using the Date filter above the table.
- If Save responses as user progresses is enabled, the date and time will reflect when the first response to a question was completed.
- If Save responses only when user submits is enabled, the date and time will reflect when the form or survey was submitted.
- Responses: Displays the specific response from submissions for a selected question, if the Questions view has been applied. This column isn't displayed by default. If a user has not responded to the selected question, they will not be included in the table when the Questions view is applied.
- Status: Displays the processed status of the submission. This can be updated by clicking Mark Processed or Mark Unprocessed. Use the Status filter to update the table according to the submission's current processed status.
- Segment: The Segment filter can be used to update the table to display the selected segment.
Individual responses can be opened in full by clicking the submitter's name.
