Enabling AI for your Workvivo
To leverage Workvivo AI capabilities, Workvivo AI needs to be enabled for your Workvivo instance. Please contact your Workvivo CX Manager if you are interested in exploring Workvivo AI.
We will provide a White Paper for you to read which provides lots of info about our AI capabilities.
Once enabled for your organization, you can switch on and start using the Compose feature, the Survey generation feature and the Workvivo AI Assistant feature.
Admin users have the 'Manage AI' permission by default and can configure all Workvivo AI features. If a non-Admin user needs to manage Workvivo AI, you can assign them the 'AI Manager' role, allowing them to see the ‘Workvivo AI’ section of the Admin panel and configure the AI features.
Enabling AI for your users
In order to use the AI features, an Admin user must individually assign the relevant AI roles to each user account. The permissions that can be granted are:
- AI Chat User permission - Required for accessing the Workvivo AI Assistant
- AI Compose User permission - Required for using the Compose AI feature
- AI Surveys User permission - Required for generating surveys using AI
Each role must be explicitly assigned on a per-user basis. Simply enabling the AI features at the organization level is not sufficient - users cannot access any AI capabilities until they are granted the corresponding role/permission. This is also true for a System Admin, they need to be granted the role(s) by another Admin user in order to use AI. For more information on granting roles, please see here.

Roles / Permissions:
- Admin: Has "Manage AI" permission by default
- AI Manager: Can access and manage all AI settings within 'Workvivo AI'
- AI Chat User: Can access the Workvivo AI Assistant
- AI Compose User: Can access the Compose AI feature
- AI Surveys User: Can generate surveys using the AI feature
Note: The AI Chat User, AI Compose User and AI Surveys permissions also requires that the associated setting is enabled.
AI for your Organization
As an AI Admin, you can enable Workvivo AI for your organization and allow users to access various Workvivo AI features.
Workvivo AI Assistant
When enabled, the Ask option will show in the AI side panel for any users with the AI Chat User role.
There are several options for this:
- All support articles from support.workvivo.com
This will allow the Workvivo AI Assistant to check the Workvivo Help Center for answers. If a user asks 'What is a space?' for example, then Workvivo AI Assistant will return some information on what a space is and will provide links to any relevant Help Center articles.
- Workvivo articles from yourdomain.workvivo.com
This will allow the Workvivo AI Assistant to check your own articles for answers. To allow your article to be included in the Workvivo AI search then you will need to edit the article and select the "Allow Article to be accessed with AI" checkbox.
- Prompts
Once enabled you can set custom prompts for your users to see when they open Workvivo AI Assistant. For example 'What is a Shout-out?'. If you do not enter any custom prompts then no prompts will show for the user.
Compose
When the 'Compose' option is enabled, any user with the AI Compose User role will see the Compose tab in the AI side panel. It will allow the user to:
- Enable Values in compose
When enabled this option will show the user an "Include Values?" checkbox that will allow them to include company values when composing material.
Survey Generation
When the 'Survey Generation' option is enable, any user with the AI Surveys User will see the AI sparkle icon next to the 'Survey Title' header. This will allow the user to create a survey using a mix of text and prompts using Workvivo AI.
Note on Data Usage
Workvivo AI is powered by and integrated with Zoom's AI technology. Workvivo does not use customer content to train our models or third-party models used in our features. Workvivo does not use any customer content to train Zoom’s or its third-party AI models.
We evaluate and update our models periodically and those used to support Workvivo AI may change from time to time. For features in Workvivo AI that use third-party AI model providers, we will share relevant data with those third-parties when you use the feature.
At this time, when Workvivo AI features rely on a third-party artificial intelligence model, data will be processed in the US. The third-party model provider is not permitted to retain the content used or generated by the feature, unless required by applicable law.
