Workvivo are continuing to enhance the Workvivo Chat experience to make communication faster, smarter, and more intuitive across web and mobile.
Three exciting updates are on the way - all designed to improve usability, flexibility, and collaboration for teams using Chat every day.
What is changing?
1. Set Messages to Unread
This new feature allows users to mark previously read messages as unread, helping them keep track of important conversations or reminders they want to revisit later.
It also integrates with the Unread filter, making it easier to stay organised and never miss a key message.
What this means for you:
- Quickly mark messages as unread for follow-up
- Keep your inbox organized and actionable
- Improve focus by prioritizing key conversations
2. Voice Message Enhancements - LIVE
We’re improving the voice messaging experience with playback speed controls and a refreshed user interface. These updates make it easier to listen, review, and respond to voice messages - especially for users who rely on audio communication.
What this means for you:
- Adjust playback speed to suit your workflow (1x, 1.5x, 2x)
- Enjoy a cleaner, more intuitive playback experience
- Better accessibility for users on the go or in low-connectivity environments
3. Chatbots: Share Files with Bots - LIVE
You’ll soon be able to send files directly to chatbots, enabling richer interactions and more advanced automation.
For example, users can upload a file as part of an incident report or form submission - expanding what’s possible with custom and integrated bots.
What this means for you:
- Share files and attachments directly with chatbots
- Enable more dynamic workflows and use cases
- Improve efficiency for reporting, approvals, and data collection
What do I need to do?
There’s nothing you need to do to prepare - these enhancements will be automatically available once rolled out to Workvivo Chat customers from June 12, 2026.
