Workvivo is introducing a new 'Post to Feed' option when creating Events on the Workvivo platform.
This update gives event co‑ordinators more control over how and when their events appear on the Activity Feed - helping reduce noise while keeping important events visible in the right places.
What is Changing?
When creating an event, you’ll soon see a new Post to Feed dropdown. This lets you decide how your event appears on the Activity Feed:
- When Published - the event appears on the feed immediately when saved.
- Never - the event will not appear on the feed but will still show in the calendar and widgets.
- Custom - schedule the event to appear on the feed at a specific date and time.
This change applies to all future events created once the feature is live and will not impact existing or past events.
Why we're making this change?
We understand that while the Activity Feed is a great way to promote engagement, it can sometimes become cluttered with event posts. So, with that in mind, this update aims to:
- Reduce feed noise by letting co‑ordinators choose which events appear in the feed.
- Increase flexibility so events can be scheduled to post at the most relevant time.
- Maintain visibility - events will still appear in calendars, widgets, and notifications even if not posted to the feed.
This enhancement will make it easier to manage how events appear across your Workvivo experience - keeping your feed focused and your events visible where they matter most.
What do I need to do?
There’s nothing you need to do to prepare - this enhancement will be automatically available once rolled out on July 1, 2026. When it's live:
- Look for the new “Post to Feed” dropdown when creating or editing an event.
- Choose the option that best suits your event’s visibility needs.
- Update any internal guidance or training materials to reflect this new flexibility if you manage events for your organisation.
