Manager Insights is a key part of Workvivo's Employee Insights.
Manager Insights gives individual managers direct access to their team’s engagement survey results, helping them understand how their team feels. With clear insights, they can spot issues, celebrate successes, and take meaningful action to improve engagement.
Device(s): Desktop, Mobile (to view and/or submit an Employee Insight)
Roles / Permissions:
- System Admin: Can manage Manager Insights
- Insights Admin: Can manage Manager Insights
- People Manager: Can view insights for employees reporting into them in the organization (including both direct reports and everyone below them in the organizational structure).

Accessing Manager Insights
Manager Insights can be found in the Resources section of the top nav.
Only people managers who have been granted access to Manager Insights can view their team's results. Read this article for more information on how to manage access to Manager Insights dashboards.
Before Engagement Survey Results are Released:
Preview mode allows managers to access Manager Insights to view participation rate statistics before they gain full access to survey results. This is only possible if the 'Enable Preview of Participation Rates' setting is enabled.
This gives managers the opportunity to help boost survey response rates while the survey is still live. It also lets them know when they will gain access to their team's survey results.
After Engagement Survey Results are Released:
Engagement Snapshot
The Engagement snapshot dashboard gives managers a view into their team's engagement and sentiment from one place. As a manager they have the ability to toggle between their total reports scores or scores from their direct reports only.
- Total Reports: All employees reporting to a manager, both directly and indirectly, within the organizational structure.
- Direct Reports: Only employees reporting directly to a manager.
Managers can also filter the snapshot to a particular pulse survey round to understand response rates and completion rates of the survey.
My Direct Reports
The 'My Direct Reports' section gives the team scores for managers reporting to you. In the example above, the 8.3 score for Sam Fields is the average score from all employees reporting to him. It is not the score Sam Fields gave in his survey.
Clicking on a manager's tile allows you to filter survey results by that manager and delve into their team's engagement scores.
Drivers
Managers can also analyse survey results by Driver category, giving them a deeper understanding of what they can change to improve overall engagement in their team, and also compare their team's results to company averages.
Each Driver has it's own filterable, in-depth dashboard.
Values
Similar to the Drivers section shown above, Values also have their own home within Manager Insights. Value dashboards help managers to assess how much company values actually align to a day in the life of their team.

Radar
Radar gives managers a birds eye view of results across all of their direct reports and assigned Segments. It allows them to quickly identify success or focus points that need improvement.
This view can be filtered to show scores across engagement drivers or value alignment.

With our comment monitor managers can drill down in to anonymous responses to better understand the overall score.
