The new Workvivo Search gives you the same powerful experience whether you’re on web, mobile, or searching in another language. This article explains how to use the new search on mobile devices and how multilingual search helps global teams find the right content faster.
Mobile Search Experience
Workvivo’s new search is fully available on mobile, giving you the same tools and results you get on web - all in a layout designed for smaller screens.
What You Can Do on Mobile
- Use the same unified search bar to find anything across Workvivo
- Access search history and pinned searches to quickly re-run frequent queries
- Apply filters to narrow results by content type, Space, or Team
- View connected sources (like SharePoint or Google Drive) if your organisation uses connectors
- Search inside documents and attachments, just like on web
- Use multilingual search if your organisation supports multiple languages
Tip: The mobile search overlay is designed for quick access - just tap the search icon in the top navigation bar to start typing.
Multilingual Search
Workvivo supports multilingual search so employees can find content in their preferred language. This is especially useful for global organisations with translated content.
How It Works
- You can search in any language that your organisation has enabled.
- Search returns results that match the language of the content - for example, if you search in French, you’ll see French-language results.
- Workvivo does not automatically translate content. It relies on the translations that have been created for posts, pages, or articles.
Example: If your company has an article translated into English, Spanish, and German, searching in Spanish will return the Spanish version of that article.
Where It Applies
Multilingual search works across:
- Posts, Pages, Articles
- Other content types that have translated versions available
Tips for Global Teams
- Encourage content owners to add translations for key posts and pages so everyone can find them in their own language.
- Use consistent keywords across translations to improve discoverability.
- Remind team members that search results depend on what’s been translated - if something doesn’t appear, it may not yet have a version in that language.
- Combine multilingual search with filters to focus on specific Spaces or Teams.
