Manual Post Translation

Role(s): This feature is enabled by default for Admin role and can be granted to any user through the manual translations editor role

Add Manual Translation to Updates, Shout-outs or Value Updates

To add manual translation, type your message, then click the three dots (…) in the posting window:

Select "Translations" from the menu:

• We automatically detect and set the default language based on the original text
• If no original text is entered, the user's profile language is used as the default language
• You can manually change the default language at any time from the translation menu

Click "Add Language" to include additional languages:

For each new language added, Workvivo generates an automatic real-time translation; you can then review and edit the translation manually to ensure accuracy:

For enhanced accessibility, all manually added translations will be visible directly as a label on the original post (only visible to the author):

Edit a Manual Translation

Choose the language you'd like to edit, and make your changes directly in the translation window:

Delete a Manual Translation or Set it as the Default Language

To delete a translation or set it as the default language, open the Translations' menu from the post and locate the specific language you want to update.

Click the three dots (…) next to that language.

Choose “Delete” to remove the translation, or “Make Default” to set it as the post’s default language:
