Creating & Publishing Pages Using New Builder

Our new Page builder introduces a modern, block-based content editing experience in Workvivo. It enables administrators to create professional, mobile-first Pages using a drag-and-drop interface with flexible content blocks, structured layouts, and real-time preview.

This enhancement significantly improves the usability, flexibility, and scalability of Pages for admins and content creators both within the Pages feature and when creating Pages within Spaces. 

Note: The process outlined below also applies to creating Pages within Spaces. 

Step 1: Create a New Page

  1. On the top Navigation bar, click Explore → Pages
  2. Click + Add Page
  3. Select New Page
  4. Next you can choose to either:
    • Build from the blank page 
    • Start with a template

Note: For this example we'll focus on building from a blank page - more details on Page Templates here.

Step 2: Add Content Blocks

On the left-hand sidebar, click on Components to reveal the array of content blocks, including: (explore the full list)

  • Text
  • Image
  • Video
  • Embedded Content
  • Expandable / Collapsible Section

Here you can also:

  • Drag blocks to reorder
  • Resize supported blocks
  • Collapse sections to manage long pages
  • Align images left, right, or centred
  • Wrap text around images

You can now adjust the width of the page, and how it displays to users. Along the top markdown bar, there is now an option to keep the width as default, update to Medium or Full width. Click <-> icon to select best fit for each page.

Step 3: Upload Media

Within Image or Video blocks:

  • Upload media from your device
  • Select previously uploaded assets
  • Insert platform-hosted content

After an image has been added to the Page, you can now:

  • Resize the image to Small, Medium, Large or Full or indeed a custom size by clicking and dragging either side of the image's borders. 
  • Add a link to the image (Click ... then 'Add Link').
  • Select whether you want the link to open in a new tab.

Step 4: Manage Page Structure

To assign a parent page:
  1. On the top right hand side, click Options → Move Page
  2. Select a Parent Page
  3. Save changes with Move Page

You can also rearrange pages by dragging and dropping via the Navigation sidebar

Step 5: Preview Your Page

You can now preview how your page renders on desktop and mobile with the preview mode. This is helpful to validate your formatting before publishing.

  1. On the markdown bar, navigate to the mobile icon on the right hand side, click Toggle Mobile Preview
  2. To click back to the desktop editor / preview, click the icon again

Publishing Your Page

Pages in Workvivo can exist in two states:

  1. Draft
  2. Published

Saving as a Draft allows you to:

  • Save progress at any time
  • Exit and return later
  • Continue editing before publishing

Publishing a Page makes it visible to end-users based on its visibility settings. Once you have completed the above steps and are happy with how it looks, simply click on the Publish button.

Making changes to a published page is easy, simply navigate to the page, click on Options → Edit Page, make your changes and click on Republish.

Changes become visible immediately after republishing.

  • Search indexing
