Across mobile and web we aim to deliver near real time notifications of new messages you have received.
Web Notifications
On your browser tab you will be able to see a counter and red dot to indicate a new chat message has been received.
You will also see a counter on the left hand menu of a new chat message
Mobile Tab Notifications
On mobile you will see a red dot on the bottom tab when you have a new chat message to be read.
Mobile Push Notifications
For chat push notifications are enabled by default once the user first accesses the chat screen. This can also be controlled via the notification settings on Workvivo. Users can set it to Do Not Disturb for the entire day or for specific periods. This will mute all notifications from Chat.
On Mobile, push notifications are shown as notification tiles (or based on your device settings).
