Newsletter analytics can help you understand what content is resonating with your employees, and aid in shaping future content strategies.
After sending an email, you can view analytics on the number of emails sent, open rates & what content was most engaged with.

Number of emails sent
View a breakdown of:
- Emails Sent - the total number of emails that have been sent
- Emails Bounced - the total number of emails that have failed to deliver
- Emails Delivered - the total number of emails that have been delivered
Open rates
While we display open rates within Workvivo, we would always recommend caution when using it as a measurement of success. In theory, open rates should reflect the number of unique individuals who opened your newsletter. In practice, there are inconsistencies in how this number is measured across email clients (for example some "opens" may be counted by bots, which can cause minor discrepancies) and is not always reliable. We recommend focusing on Content performance (more on this below) for understanding the effectiveness of your newsletter.
Content performance
- Engagement types: This stat tells you what type of content performed best. Here you'll see a summary of clicks on events, updates, articles and links. Note - article clicks are specifically the total number of times an article was clicked from the newsletter. To see overall article clicks, please review the analytics section for that article.

- Departments: Understand what departments are engaging with your newsletter most
- Device: See a breakdown of click-throughs broken down by desktop, mobile and app
- Link Analytics: See a total and unique summary of click-throughs to Workvivo and external content
