At Workvivo, we firmly recognize that Newsletters are, and always will be an integral part of your internal communications strategy. When used alongside Workvivo as the digital heartbeat of your organization, Newsletters can help employees feel better connected, fuel engagement, and energize a culture of transparency, integrity and trust.
However, we're also very aware that not all workers sit at, or operate from a desk. Historically "getting to" these workers has been difficult, as usually they don't have access to any form of email.
Today, we are making it possible for users who historically miss out on newsletters to be part of your story - going forward , all newsletters sent via Workvivo from April 2025 can also be accessed in-browser.
Roles / Permissions:
- System Admin: Full control over creation, management, and analytics for all newsletters
Newsletter Manager 2.0: Can create newsletters, send out test newsletter emails, and edit or delete any newsletters and custom templates for their organization
Note: Users must have an active Workvivo account and be part of the Newsletter target audience
How the feature works:
Going forward (as of April 2025) , when a Newsletter is sent, we will auto-generate a sharable link that can be used to view your newsletter content in browser. We'll include a link at the bottom of every email (so this doesn't limit the sharing of the URL to newsletter managers or admins), and surface this within the Newsletter admin also.
Pre-requisites:
- URLs will only become available from when the Newsletter is sent
- Bar admins, the user must be a member of the newsletter target audience to view the Newsletter.
- Users must Log-in to Workvivo to view the newsletter & associated content
Analytics
- It will be possible to track whether your users are accessing your Newsletter via browser. This will be measured in two ways:
- As a "link click" under the "Links" section within the Newsletter analytics. The URL of the Newsletter will appear with a count of total and unique clicks
- Links clicks within the browser view will be marked under the "View in browser" % in device types
- When a newsletter is opened via browser, "open rates" are not incremented or skewed, as open rates are specific to email interactions.
