Custom Landing Pages is the homepage experience within Workvivo HQ and the Widget Builder is the creative engine behind Custom Landing Pages. It lets you design and personalize your organization’s homepage using a flexible library of widgets - modular content blocks that display news, events, links, apps, and more.
With the Widget Builder, you can craft pages that are both visually engaging and functionally powerful. It empowers teams to tell their stories, highlight what matters most, and make everyday tools easier to find - all without needing technical expertise.
By combining creativity with structure, the Widget Builder helps you bring your company’s voice to life. Whether you’re spotlighting achievements, sharing updates, or connecting people to resources, it gives you the freedom to build a homepage that feels uniquely yours.
HQ Widget Catalogue
Device(s):
- Editing is available on Web only.
- Mobile users can view widgets on published pages but cannot edit them
Roles / Permissions:
- Admin - Full access to create, edit, publish, and delete all widgets.
- Spotlight Manager - Can create and manage widgets for teams they belong to.
- General Access Employee - View-only access based on audience targeting.

Widget Builder is available as a standard product feature to all Workvivo customers following being made generally available at end-July 2026. Please reach out to your Workvivo point-of-contact to avail of the feature.

- Enter Edit Mode on your Custom Landing Page.
- Select “Add Widget” in either the header or dashboard grid zone.
- Enter Search text in the Search bar and filter results by Full-width content and Grid widgets

- Select “Add Widget” in either the header or dashboard grid zone.
- Browse the catalogue by "Category" including "All Widgets"
- Choose a widget

- Set audience targeting
- Choose display style (if relevant) - list or carousel
- Once saved successfully drag and drop the widget to position it where you want on the page
- Preview and publish when you’re happy with the layout

Countdown Clock
Summary: Displays a countdown to a target date. Can reveal a link when the countdown ends. Use when a fixed date milestone should create urgency.
Layout: grid only.
Configuration: Title, target date, image, post-countdown link.
Example: Count down to annual kickoff with a post-launch destination link.
Integrations
- Use these widgets to reduce switching between intranet and productivity suites
- Choose integrations based on the tenant's primary ecosystem (Google or Microsoft)
- Don't mix redundant mail/calendar widgets if one suite is dominant for most users
- These are daily utility widgets, not campaign widgets
- Translation wrappers for integration widgets (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) are disabled
All integration widgets are grid only with no additional per-widget content configuration. They require users to have OAuth connections set up.
Gmail / Google Calendar / Google Drive
Summary: For Google Workspace environments. Show inbox, calendar, and Drive content respectively. Use when users primarily work in Google and need quick access without leaving the landing page.
Outlook Mail / Outlook Calendar / OneDrive
Summary: For Microsoft 365 environments. Show inbox, calendar, and OneDrive content respectively.
SEER
- Use SEER widgets where measurement visibility drives action and follow-up
- Align response-rate widgets with active survey windows
- Don't show performance metrics broadly without context on audience and action owner
- Remove SEER widgets after the underlying survey cycle has ended

Widget Placement Zones
Header Zone:
- Appears at the top of the page.
- Ideal for high‑impact content such as Billboards or Featured News.
- Supports up to two stacked widgets.
Dashboard Grid Zone:
- Appears below the header.
- Layout determines the number of columns (1, 2, or 3).
- Widgets can be resized and rearranged freely.
Drag-and-drop Behaviour
- Widgets can be dragged between the header zone and the grid, and between grid columns
- Dragging a widget into the header zone promotes it to full-width
- Dragging a header widget down places it into the grid
