Widget Catalogue and Inventory
The widget catalogue is constantly evolving. The most up-to-date list of available widgets is always found in-product.
Media
Use media widgets for storytelling and recurring content. Pair featured podcasts with audience-targeted teams. Avoid overloading the top of your page with competing media widgets.
- Featured Podcast - A single featured podcast item, ideal for editorial hero content such as a CEO monthly briefing. Available as full-length or grid. Non-picker.
- Latest Podcasts - Surfaces the most recent podcast items for always-fresh discovery. Available as full-length or grid. Non-picker.
Productivity
Prioritize high-frequency tasks and tools. Use Journeys for guided sequencing such as onboarding or manager enablement. Avoid duplicating the same links across multiple widgets.
- Quick Links - A custom set of links or an app folder, supporting up to six links. Available as full-length or grid with Bento, Boxed List, or Grid layout styles.
- Featured Apps - A curated selection of apps displayed in a carousel format. Available as full-length or grid. Example use: highlight new intranet apps or benefits enrollment tools.
- Starred Apps - Displays the viewer's personally starred apps in an auto-scroll carousel. Available as full-length or grid.
- Featured Documents - A curated documents carousel. Available as full-length or grid. Example use: quarterly templates or policy packs.

- Journeys - Selected journeys for guided employee experiences. Picker-enabled. Example use: onboarding journeys or manager enablement programs.
- HQ Agent - Provides agentic search and Q&A access. Requires the HQ Agent add-on. Grid only.
Stay Informed
Reserve featured placements for high-importance communications. Use pickers for editorial control over what appears. Avoid overusing "featured" status - if everything is featured, nothing stands out.
- Featured News - Surfaces featured news content automatically. Non-picker. Example use: Executive announcements.
- Upcoming Events - Displays upcoming featured events automatically. Non-picker.
- Featured Pages - Surfaces featured pages. Non-picker. Example use: a benefits hub during open enrollment.
- Events - A picker-enabled widget displaying selected events in a carousel. Example use: region-specific events.
- News - A picker-enabled widget displaying selected news items in a carousel. Example use: bundled transformation updates.
- Billboards - Image-plus-CTA cards supporting up to five items per widget. Example use: an open enrollment campaign, quick access to a third-party website.
- Pages - Selected knowledge pages displayed in a carousel. Picker-enabled.
- Trending Hashtag - Surfaces trending hashtags and topics. Available as full-length and grid.
Connect
Use Connect widgets to increase participation and discovery. Target by audience for relevance. Do not rely solely on trending content for critical messaging - trending content surfaces organically and may not always align with your priorities.
- Trending Spaces - Displays trending spaces in a carousel. Example use: boost joins for a hackathon community.
- Posts - Selected posts with search-enabled selection and carousel display options.
- Spaces - Selected spaces displayed in a picker-enabled carousel. Example use: onboarding starter spaces for new employees.
- My Team - Displays the viewer's own team members based on department. Grid only.
Utilities
Use utility widgets for practical, time-sensitive information. Keep titles explicit so employees know exactly what the countdown or timer refers to. Do not over-prioritize utility widgets above core communications content.
- Countdown Clock - A countdown to a target date with an optional reveal link. Grid only. Example use: a company kickoff countdown with a destination link.
Integrations
Use integration widgets to reduce app-switching and bring daily tools directly into the Workvivo homepage.
Choose widgets based on your organization's primary productivity ecosystem (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365). Avoid adding redundant mail or calendar widgets from both ecosystems. These are daily utility widgets, not campaign widgets.
Note: Integration widgets are grid only and require no extra configuration beyond OAuth authentication. Translation wrappers are disabled for integration widgets.
- Gmail - Displays the viewer's Gmail inbox.
- Google Calendar - Displays the viewer's Google Calendar.
- Google Drive - Provides access to the viewer's Google Drive.
- Outlook Mail - Displays the viewer's Outlook inbox.
- Outlook Calendar - Displays the viewer's Outlook Calendar.
- OneDrive - Provides access to the viewer's OneDrive
SEER
Use SEER widgets where measurement drives action. Align their visibility with active survey windows. Avoid displaying broad metrics without context.
Top Tip: Remove or archive SEER widgets after the survey cycle ends to keep the page relevant.
Note: SEER widgets are grid only and require a SEER license.
- Engage and Score - Displays a headline engagement score, ideal for leadership pulse dashboards.
- Response Rates - Shows SEER survey response rates for admins and managers monitoring participation.
- Survey Status - Provides survey lifecycle and countdown visibility for employees.

Best Practices
- Lead with impact - Use the header zone for your most important message or campaign - it is the first thing employees see.
- Keep it balanced - Avoid overcrowding the dashboard grid. A focused selection of widgets is more effective than filling every available slot.
- Target wisely - Use audience targeting to show the right content to the right people. Not every widget needs to be visible to every employee.
- Mix content types - Combine storytelling widgets (News, Posts, Podcasts) with utility widgets (Quick Links, Apps, Documents) to keep the page both engaging and functional.
- Review analytics - Use widget analytics to identify top-performing widgets and retire or reposition underperforming ones.
- Stay consistent - Use similar styles, naming conventions, and layout patterns across tabs and pages for a cohesive experience.
