Old content can sometimes become irrelevant after a certain period of time. This can result in a cluttered news section, making it harder for users to find relevant content.
This feature allows you to get ahead of outdated articles by setting predefined expiry dates on them. Our automated process then takes care of the rest so you don’t need to rely on authors to manually archive articles themselves.

Setting an expiration date
-
Simply select ‘Add archive date’ when creating an article and choose a date and time that you would like this article to be automatically archived. On this date the article will move to the ‘Archive’ section and will not be visible to general users.
-
You will receive an in-app notification informing you that your article has been archived.
Manually archiving
-
You can now also manually archive articles, both in the ‘Edit Article’ section, and in the ‘Manage’ dropdown next to each article in the ‘Manage News’ section.
Unarchiving
-
Don’t worry, you can also unarchive any articles that you want to republish, reuse, or that you might have archived accidentally.
-
Simply open the ‘Archive’ tab in the ‘Manage News’ section and choose ‘Edit’ from the dropdown on your desired article.
-
You can then edit the ‘Publish Date/Time’ and ‘Archive Date/Time’ to do the following
-
Set an archive date in the future, or clear the archive date, to return the article to its former published state.
-
Set publish and archive dates in the future to move the article to the ‘Scheduled’ section.
-
Clear both dates to work on the article in the ‘Draft’ section.
