The Advanced Analytics Add-On replaces the out-of-the-box Analytics with a set of more detailed dashboards and reports. Just like the standard analytics it replaces, it can be accessed by navigating to the Admin dropdown menu and selecting Analytics.
The Advanced Analytics Add-On adds multiple sub-dashboards to your standard out-of-the-box analytics dashboards. It focuses on Content and Usage Analytics but is an evolving feature so if you have any ideas or suggestions please log them here!
Advanced Content Analytics
To drill into all aspects of content, both feed based and static, to understand what’s working well, what do people want to see more/less of, and how you should adjust your content strategy or engagement targets for the future. This consists of the below dashboards:
This is the out-of-the-box content analytics dashboard that you’re already familiar with. It gives a good overview of what content is receiving the highest total interactions.
This is the out-of-the-box competitions dashboard that is designed to make running competitions within the platform as easy as possible. As with the Feed Content dashboard above, this is part of Standard Analytics.
This dashboard helps you identify what content is getting the highest engagement relative to the number of Viewers (i.e. Reach). It’s a more accurate way to understand if the content is actually interesting and engaging and you should do more of it, or if it just reached a larger audience, naturally making the interactions higher.
This dashboard lets you drill into how and when hashtags are used across the platform and understand from these trends what people are talking about the most. It can also be used to identify which campaigns have had the biggest impact.
This dashboard gives you a deep dive into how your podcasts are performing, how and when people are listening to them, and what episodes have had the highest engagement. It can help you focus on the podcast content that people want to hear and avoid wasting time on topics they’re not interested in.
This dashboard provides a detailed analysis of your static/reference content, across global and space pages. It shows you page traffic over time, most popular pages, and even the split of web vs mobile viewers.
This dashboard provides a detailed analysis of your document content across all document types: global/system documents, space files, and space documents.
Advanced Usage Analytics
To dig deeper into what usage really means. Not just how often users are visiting the platform but how are they interacting with it when they’re there, what spaces or teams are most active, how leadership is leveraging the platform, how shoutouts are being used and which values are resonating. This consists of the below dashboards:
This is the out of the box usage analytics dashboard that you’re already familiar with, it gives a good overview of both organization-level and team-level usage of the platform over time.
This dashboard lets you examine metrics and trends within specific spaces, identify what types of content are being used, how engagement is trending in the space over time, and if the frequency of posts is in line with your objectives for the space.
This dashboard aims to drive some competition amongst space owners, it shows what spaces are getting the most activity and engagement both from an absolute and relative standpoint. It can help you identify what your top performing spaces are and share some of their strategies with other space owners, as well as understand what spaces are no longer needed and could be archived.
The purpose of this dashboard is to reflect on the activity and engagement from a leadership perspective. Since there is a strong correlation between how visible and engaged a leader is and how engaged their team is, this can be a great lever to drive adoption across the organization. It also drives some healthy competition amongst the leadership team and helps them decide what content types coming from them resonates with employees.
The Teams Leaderboard Dashboard allows you to compare all your teams against each other, and help you identify who your top performing teams are, which teams are providing the most content and which teams are engaging the most. It can be viewed from both an absolute and relative standpoint.
The Teams Drilldown dashboard is designed to let you examine the core metrics and trends for a specific team. For a selected team it allows you to report the total posts, comments, or reaction over time, identify how active or passive indicators are trending, and surface who the top 10 super users are for that team.
The Shoutouts Dashboard is designed to help you understand how Workvivo is being used to drive recognition across your organization, as well as provide key insights to help celebrate and encourage a culture of recognition. It provides information on overall shoutout use, shoutout trends, who is receiving and giving the most shoutouts and which teams they are on.
Use the Values dashboard to understand how your values are being understood and used in peer conversations and recognition, how specific values are resonating versus others, whether trends in values are changing over time, and for reporting on the communication of values across the company.
